Anti Roll Bars (also known as anti-sway bars, sway bars or lower tie bars) affect the handling of the car on the lower end of the suspension. Sway bars tie the lower suspension components together across the front or back, and affect a car's over steer and under steer. Sway bars will keep your car flat in turns instead of leaning over to one side.

I read a good reviews about these rear stablizier which said this will improve the handling of my car by reducing understeer.

After install i felt more grip and were more confident to press the throttle in the corners.

Tein Low Down Spec Basic Coilover

After 3 months of waiting the coilover finally arrive, it was a hard decision, i was about to get D2 for its full adjustability but the bad reputation makes me leaned towards the famous and my dream coilover TEIN.

Little did i know that the D2 bad reputation is because the previous dealer just import the stuff and the spring rate was way hard, lack of support and the previous dealer just mixed and match the coilovers for the car they dont have stock. And theres no aftersales support from the previous dealer.

The new dealer is way better, the coilovers are now street spec, suitable for Brunei roads and much more comfortable and have good aftersale support where if the coilover have any defects they are able to order repair parts.

The Tein is comfortable, car handles superbly and make the car looks so much better but the rear is too low even at its full height, which is a problem for with the cops.

TRD Oil Cap

These things are expensive, an authentic TRD oil cap, i just bought these to be unique and to try out nengun, it was $160 took about3wk-1mnth to arrive, when it did arrive theres a 20% for all car items at the Post office and the price so total price for this thig is almsot $200!!!

Lesson learned:

Nengun can be trusted and price depends on exchange rate
Theres a 20% tax when it arrives in Brunei

Denso Iridium Power

I wanted to get the most out of my ride, so i got myself the Denso Iridium Power which i similar the the HKS S-Series. Because when i looks at the S-Series they have the same spec 0.4mm and U groove iridium plug.

When i installed this the engine ran smoother and idles better which maybe why the readings of my voltage is more stable.

The Lukey Exhaust

This was my 1st exhaut, its noisy and bassy, i live the sound but dont like the looks, i like the normal exhaust but this was free hehe i had to remove it because my GF and her parents don like it because it was noisy.

But to my suprise when i dyno my power dropped from 102.9 to 98.6hp.

So I looked for a performance exhaust that wasnt so noisy. The problem is for the vios there arent many bolt on silent exhaust available as the HKS Silent Hi-Power for this car is $980 not including shipping and Tax

Then i met a guy at TVCM(Toyota Vios Club Malaysia) he's a Bruneian that works at Australia coincidentally met him at SHH when my friend was installing his Boot Gauge. The guy told me he changed his exhaust but all i see is normal looking exhaust and i sound like normal too.

This was the exhaust he used, is a free flow 2" in/out and sound a bit bassy especially after i install the AMG exhaust tip. Got this exhaust installed at Jun Fatt Jerudong because its the cheapes w/ 2" stainless steel.

It's payday, got my parts ready to be replaced a day before tuning.

OWS 10W40, i've been using this oil since the 1st promotion because it was the cheapest quality fully synthetic, i was going to use HKS because of the promo but the promo is for Super Turbo Racing oil only, although it can be used on my car, im just owrried that because my ride isnt turbo the oil wont get to its optimum temp.

Thats just a theory.

I also wanted to try the OWS NA Racing but i was told its not suitable for street car because its for car thats under high stressed eg. full throttle all the time, highly tuned and can go hi-rpms etc.

By the look of the filter, it certainly need a change, but i wont change it just yet, will replace it before tuning so that the filter will be clean and fresh.

The Denso Iridium/HKS S-Series suprised me, i tought by being iridium it woud last longer and still be fine by now, but i was suprised after just 40000km, the U-Groove on the electrode already eroded. Again before tuning i will replace it.

My dyno @50000km with just intake, exhaust and denso plugs on current worn condition. Wonder how much it makes if the filter, oil and plugs were new

Temburong Car Show

The 1st carshow, not many cars joined because it was in Temburong and the road there are unfriendly to lowered rides, my car scrape a lot of humps, stickers and rims was sponsored by mr.smokey.

Luckily a good friend Mr.Carzine came by and joined the show, he has one of the smartest and coolest looking yaris.

These two cars share a lot of parts, especially suspension and engine. That is why most of my parts are from the yaris/vitz.
