GT S15

When we look @ GT cars, we can see aerodynamic diffusers on the cars. Even the body are widened to accommodate the wider tyres. These aerodynamics helps the cars to corners with great speed which complements the rigid chassis, suspensions and sticky tyres.

This is why call it GT S15 because apart from the already aerodynamic proven Vertex bodykit, the owner also did a full diffuser kit giving it a unique GT look.

I removed the rubber intake hose andconnected the MAF adapter directly to the throttle body, unfortunately by doing so my PCV hose will be left exposed and its sucking dirty air directly into the camshaft etc..

I forgot to put it back on for a whole day of driving...

Hardcore Airtrek

Tomei turbo, HKS camshaft and a lot of bolt-ons parts and controlled by HKS F Con V Pro show how heavy moded this car is. Even the gearbox was swapped with an Evo 8 since the stock Semi-auto transmission cant handle 430+hp.

A mild tune car with 300hp+ suitable for daily driving and extra power when needed. With Evo here and there including the Evo X wheels. Ralli Art bodykit keeps the car looking clean and sporty. The best part is the HKS F Con V Pro to control the engine squeezing out all the power it can produce for all the mods.

Mitsubishi Evolution X

The latest Evolution has truly evolve and no longer share the exterior and engine from the previous version which was using a 4G63. Only from the Evo 9, that the 4G63 is equipped with MIVEC. Now with the EvoX it is equipped with a lighter 4B11 Mivec turbo engine. Even the extrior have evolve.

Evo I,II,III shared the same platform and from IV, V, VI the body Evolution starts to evolve. From Evo I-VI they shared the same paltform as the Lancer. However the Evo VII it no longer resembles the lancer and this is the start of the Traction Control which is available in 3 setting Snow, Tarmac and Gravel. This setting automatically adjust the AYC to suit each driving situation. The EVO VIII and IX looks more similar compared to the Evo VII eventhough they share the same platform this is because of the front headlamps.

This 4B11 engine although the name and looks is similar to the Lancer GT @ Galant Fortis, technically they are two different engine. Most of the modifications that were done can be seen except for the JUN trubo actuator which helps stabilize the boost for a more stable boost and improve performance.

HKS stainless steel intercooler piping was installed replacing the rubber hoses which could expand during high boost. HKS racing suction kit helps the turbo to breathe in better while still maintaining good filtration. The racing suction kit also comes stainless steel piping which replaces the rubber hoses for smoother airflow and also improve the appearance of the engine bay. HKS SQV Blow-off valve helps release the boost pressure when the throttle is closed. Carbing strut bar can also be seen in the engine bay which helps with the chassis rigidity thus allowing the suspension to perform to its full potential.

All the air that goes into the engine exits to the full free flow de-cat exhaust system and exits to the Trust Tianium Muffler which reduces weight and gives a nice growl of a titanium exhaust and the bumper is protected form the heat of the exhaust by a pair of HKS bumper stainless steel bumper protector.

HKS EVC V which is specially made for the EvoX helps to controls to boost from inside the cabin and also displays the boost reading. With the help of EcuTek to manage the fuel and ignition this Evo X now produce 390hp at 1.6 bar of boost which is pretty impressive for stock internal n stock turbo. A good balance of power and reliability. A Greddy informeter Touch helps to monitor some of the vital information making sure the car us running well.

On the exterior, Trust front lip, Chargespeed bottomline front and rear diffuser provides downforce and reduce the turbulence for better stability during spirited driving. Even a pair of Ralli Art Carbon Fiber side mirror cover was added to improve the looks of the car.

The wheels were replaced with 19" Advan Racing RZ which is wrapeed in Goodyear high performance Eagle F1 GSD3 tires for improved wet and dry grip.

Origin Z33

This 350Z HR is equipped with Origin bodykit and the body is flared to accomodate the staggered 19" Works VS-KF wheel. It is one of the best looking 350Z. A set of Tein Super Street Suspension is used to lower the car and helps with the car's handling. EDFC is also installed to control the damping of the Tein suspension from the cabin.

Performance wise the a full exhaust system was done and exits through the Amuse titanium muffler.

Toyota Altezza

This is a Toyota Altezza that has been been rebadged to a Lexus IS200, powered by a 2.0 6cyl VVT-i engine. The car is already equipped with tanabe exhaust and HKS Hipermax coilovers.

18" SSR Profesor wheels wrapped in Bridgestone RE001 tires looks great on the car combined with the lowered suspension and Wald bodykit and ducktail spoiler for the VIP looks.

Back in action

Sunday, November 8, 2009

For those who plans to install and Emanage ultimate w/ Plug and Play harness be sure to make a cover or seal the socket that goes to the ECU because during heavy rain or when you hit a puddle of water, some splach or evaporated water will go into the socket and into the ECU where the water accumulates.

I learned this the hard way and hopefuly my ECU can be repaired or B$3K+ for a new ECU.
