Mitsubishi Evolution X

The latest Evolution has truly evolve and no longer share the exterior and engine from the previous version which was using a 4G63. Only from the Evo 9, that the 4G63 is equipped with MIVEC. Now with the EvoX it is equipped with a lighter 4B11 Mivec turbo engine. Even the extrior have evolve.

Evo I,II,III shared the same platform and from IV, V, VI the body Evolution starts to evolve. From Evo I-VI they shared the same paltform as the Lancer. However the Evo VII it no longer resembles the lancer and this is the start of the Traction Control which is available in 3 setting Snow, Tarmac and Gravel. This setting automatically adjust the AYC to suit each driving situation. The EVO VIII and IX looks more similar compared to the Evo VII eventhough they share the same platform this is because of the front headlamps.

This 4B11 engine although the name and looks is similar to the Lancer GT @ Galant Fortis, technically they are two different engine. Most of the modifications that were done can be seen except for the JUN trubo actuator which helps stabilize the boost for a more stable boost and improve performance.

HKS stainless steel intercooler piping was installed replacing the rubber hoses which could expand during high boost. HKS racing suction kit helps the turbo to breathe in better while still maintaining good filtration. The racing suction kit also comes stainless steel piping which replaces the rubber hoses for smoother airflow and also improve the appearance of the engine bay. HKS SQV Blow-off valve helps release the boost pressure when the throttle is closed. Carbing strut bar can also be seen in the engine bay which helps with the chassis rigidity thus allowing the suspension to perform to its full potential.

All the air that goes into the engine exits to the full free flow de-cat exhaust system and exits to the Trust Tianium Muffler which reduces weight and gives a nice growl of a titanium exhaust and the bumper is protected form the heat of the exhaust by a pair of HKS bumper stainless steel bumper protector.

HKS EVC V which is specially made for the EvoX helps to controls to boost from inside the cabin and also displays the boost reading. With the help of EcuTek to manage the fuel and ignition this Evo X now produce 390hp at 1.6 bar of boost which is pretty impressive for stock internal n stock turbo. A good balance of power and reliability. A Greddy informeter Touch helps to monitor some of the vital information making sure the car us running well.

On the exterior, Trust front lip, Chargespeed bottomline front and rear diffuser provides downforce and reduce the turbulence for better stability during spirited driving. Even a pair of Ralli Art Carbon Fiber side mirror cover was added to improve the looks of the car.

The wheels were replaced with 19" Advan Racing RZ which is wrapeed in Goodyear high performance Eagle F1 GSD3 tires for improved wet and dry grip.
